BLS ialah asas. ACLS dan PALS dibina di atas kemahiran CPR berkualiti tinggi yang diajar dalam BLS — sebab itulah sijil BLS yang sah lazimnya menjadi prasyarat sebelum menyertai ACLS atau PALS.
Laluan lazim mengikut peranan:
BLS is the foundation. ACLS and PALS build on the high-quality CPR taught in BLS — which is why a valid BLS is usually the prerequisite for ACLS or PALS. Typical paths: general/support staff → BLS is enough; adult-unit nurses/MOs (ED, ICU, wards) → BLS then ACLS; paediatric-unit staff (paeds ward, PICU, NICU, paeds ED) → BLS then PALS (and ACLS if they also manage adults).
